At the risk of sounding obvious, here are some of the most important:\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Check weather forecasts before setting off to hike.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Don\u00b4t go alone<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tell someone your intended destination and expected time of arrival<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Carry a small rucksack with warm clothing, waterproofs, food and plenty of water.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Don\u00b4t forget such simple items as: sun hat, protective cream and sun glasses.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Carry a mobile phone with fully-charged battery, a map and, if possible, a compass. They will probably never be used but, when required, are of vital importance.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Wear suitable gear, especially footwear: trekking boots or similar are essential, trainers or pumps are to be avoided.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><strong><strong>Autres remarques:\u00a0<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong>Although the path is signposted from its junction with the PR LP 1, not far from the Visitor Centre, most hikers begin walking from the end of the forest track. An interesting option for those keen on lengthening the hike is the PR LP 14 path, which passes very close to the previously mentioned Centre, and can be taken either from El Paso or the Refugio de El Pilar leisure area.
