Circular footpath. The path is fairly straightforward but has two difficulties. One of them is transit of the lava surface, simpler these days thanks to the path. It is advisable to stay on the latter, not only to avoid damaging the surroundings, but also because the lava-covered terrain makes for extremely hard going, in addition to the risk of cuts and grazes if falls occur. The second tricky zone is on the path back, on the section descending to Llano de Tamanca, which is narrow, very steep and hard going, although short.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ACCUMULATED ASCENDING LEVEL:<\/strong>\u00a0650 mt.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ACCUMULATED DESCENDING LEVEL:<\/strong>\u00a00 mt.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ESTIMATED TIME OF GOING:<\/strong>\u00a03:00 hrs.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ESTIMATED TIME COMING BACK:<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; hrs.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>NATURE RESERVES WITHIN THE TRAIL:\u00a0<\/strong>Parque Natural de Cumbre Vieja.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>RECOMMENDED TIME OF THE YEAR:<\/strong>All year round.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>BASIC RECOMMENDATIONS: <\/strong>Habitual precautions common to hiking in general are listed below. At the risk of sounding obvious, here are some of the most important:<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Check weather forecasts before setting off to hike.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Don\u00b4t go alone.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tell someone your intended destination and expected time of arrival.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Carry a small rucksack with warm clothing, waterproofs, food and plenty of water.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Don\u00b4t forget such simple items as: sun hat, protective cream and sun glasses.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Carry a mobile phone with fully-charged battery, a map and, if possible, a compass. They will probably never be used but, when required, are of vital importance.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Wear suitable gear, especially footwear: trekking boots or similar are essential, trainers or pumps are to be avoided, habitual precautions common to hiking in general are listed below.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>REMARKS:\u00a0<\/strong>A visit to the lava fields is an attractive outing.
