Beware of snow in winter and spring at altitudes above 2,000m, as the path becomes impracticable and dangerous in such conditions.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>GETTING THE TRAIL:<\/strong> By road, with a private vehicle or taxi.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>BASIC RECOMMENDATIONS: <\/strong>Habitual precautions common to hiking in general are listed below. At the risk of sounding obvious, here are some of the most important:<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Check weather forecasts before setting off to hike.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Don\u00b4t go alone.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tell someone your intended destination and expected time of arrival.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Carry a small rucksack with warm clothing, waterproofs, food and plenty of water.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Don\u00b4t forget such simple items as: sun hat, protective cream and sun glasses.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Carry a mobile phone with fully-charged battery, a map and, if possible, a compass. They will probably never be used but, when required, are of vital importance.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Wear suitable gear, especially footwear: trekking boots or similar are essential, trainers or pumps are to be avoided, habitual precautions common to hiking in general are listed below.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>REMARKS:<\/strong> The route is usually walked downhill, although there is nothing to prevent doing it uphill. No water is available anywhere on the route.
