The alternative to save this section is the use of public transport (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.senderosdelapalma.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Linea-210.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Line 201 Los Llanos &#8211; Fuencaliente<\/a>). Don&#8217;t walk on the road.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=&#8221;22433&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; onclick=&#8221;custom_link&#8221; img_link_target=&#8221;_blank&#8221; title=&#8221;Closed section&#8221; link=&#8221;https:\/\/www.senderosdelapalma.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/TRAMO-GR-130-CERRADO-lp.jpg&#8221;][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>DISTANCE:<\/strong>\u00a021.8 kms<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>DIFFICULTY:<\/strong> Medium. There are some road crossings that require you to pay attention. However, the greatest difficulty, especially if you follow the path in the opposite direction to that described in this topoguide, is found in the very steep slope that you have to overcome at Las Laderas de Amagar (almost 600 metres). The route is easy to do as a whole, always keeping in mind that you have to overcome a great slope. It is a deceptive itinerary on the map, especially if you follow it in the direction Los Llanos de Aridane-Tijarafe. In this case, it is advisable to be well supplied with water and be patient to overcome the Vueltas de Amagar.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>NATURE RESERVES WITHIN THE TRAIL:\u00a0<\/strong>Paisaje Protegido de Tamanca. Parque Natural de Cumbre Vieja.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>RECOMMENDED TIME OF THE YEAR:<\/strong>All year round.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>GETTING TO THE TRAIL:<\/strong>There is a bus service in both directions. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>BASIC RECOMMENDATIONS: <\/strong>Habitual precautions common to hiking in general are listed below. At the risk of sounding obvious, here are some of the most important:<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Check weather forecasts before setting off to hike.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Don\u00b4t go alone.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tell someone your intended destination and expected time of arrival.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Carry a small rucksack with warm clothing, waterproofs, food and plenty of water.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Don\u00b4t forget such simple items as: sun hat, protective cream and sun glasses.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Carry a mobile phone with fully-charged battery, a map and, if possible, a compass.
